I had my first baby. Grant was in Sydney for work (of course) and I was in our house in Melb, in labour, 4 weeks early…at 1.00am.
So Grant had a slight panic (flights don’t resume until 6am or so)…and I called in my gorgeous friend Elissa…who was more stressed than I was!
By 8.00am Grant arrived at Freemason’s Hospital, just in time for the best part…4.5 more hours of drug free agony…and the arrival of our perfect little boy. Thomas weighed in at 2.8kg and 48cm long. A month early but perfect in every way.
Thomas is 10 years old today…a smart, generous, curious, intelligent, active and happy boy. While he’s given us a fair share of headaches (he just never slept – and still prefers not to), we are so proud of the young man he is becoming.
