I was speaking to a client recently, who was booking in for her next photo session. She mentioned how important the photographs were to her…and how quickly her two girls were changing, and how she sometimes wished she could pause time and stop them growing up so fast. It hit me all of a sudden that I hadn’t properly photographed my boys in quite a while (well a long time for me anyway). So, here they are…

Grateful for my mum. She loves my boys, really loves them.(every wondered where their red hair comes from??)

These were taken during a short walk from her place through to the local shopping centre..I’ve always LOVED that grass!

Today is our wedding anniversary. 14 years ago we had a wonderful wedding in the Fitzroy gardens…it was just one of those perfect days. Since then we have lived in London and travelled through East and Western Europe, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Egypt and East Africa. We eventually settled back in Melbourne and have been blessed with three healthy amazing boys. We have moved from Brunswick to Port melbourne…and then settled into suburbia, in a house we designed and built for us. We are blessed, and make an effort to remind ourselves regularly.

Today I am grateful for my husband. He loves me unconditionally, and supports me always. He loves our boys to bits and is an amazing dad.

Grateful daily project- January 1st

For the past three years I have undertaken a personal project. A photograph every day…usually of my boys, or some aspect of our lives, this year I have given it a theme…grateful daily. So today it starts again “Oh bloody hell” was my darling husband’s reaction…that pretty much sums up the experience for everyone but me! For me, this project is about capturing little snippets of our life every January…even my husband loves looking back on these photographs, eventually.

Today I wanted to start with some photos of my boys all together. Although these are obviously posed…I love that they will still sit together for me. I love that they are such beautiful brothers…and my beautiful boys.

Happy New Year everyone…may it bring you many happy days.

Like most families…we don’t get together very often…and rarely do we have some photos taken.

So here we are…the family, enjoying Christmas day together…this first shot was taken Christmas eve..after sprinkling reindeer food on the front garden.

home sweet home

It’s still surprises me…how quickly time flies. We spend so much time planning and looking forward to something special, and then all of a sudden you are home, and that special time is all but a warm memory, lingering still….

My family and I have recently returned from a three month adventure, traveling around Australia.

We saw the most stunning sights and had the most amazing time. From weird and wonderful Coober Pedy; awesome Uluru; to stunning Litchfield and Kakadu; down to the amazing Bungle Bungles; into the remote, dusty and majestic Kimberley; to the white sandy beaches of Broome and Cape Leveque; south to the aquatic wonderland of Ningaloo and Shark Bay; into the deepest gorges at Karijini; across the endless Nullarbor to pretty Streaky Bay…and home!

Here are just a few photos from our big adventure…

Sessions for this year are filling fast, with only a few remaining before Christmas.

Bookings are now also being taken for Jan and feb 2011.

Availability update!

As you may know, I have been traveling with my beautiful family for almost 3 months now…and we are almost on our way home. Our adventure has taken us through some remote and stunning parts of Australia and we have had the most amazing time.

Thankyou to those clients who have patiently waited for email replies. Internet availability has been quite limited at times!
I have taken quite a few bookings for the rest of the year, and currently have just a few remaining sessions, especially if you would like photographs taken in time for Christmas. Please note that my Christmas deadline is early November, to guarantee delivery of your prints and products.
I am also now taking bookings for early 2011.
