Liza contacted me about a newborn session last year when she was just pregnant..I must say I LOVE organised Mums! Although I had officially finished up sessions before our big road trip, I can never resist a tiny newborn…

Liza and Chin, thankyou so much for choosing me to photograph your precious daughter. You are obviously so in love with your new baby

…she is just as lucky as you are.

Liza told me this brought tears to her eyes when I suggested it for her album…thought I would share it here;

baby Cooper – melbourne newborn portraits

I first met Kathryn and Chris a year and a half ago, when I photographed their first beautiful baby, Emily. What a pleasure to be invited back to capture gorgeous baby Cooper. Born at over 10lbs, and already over 2 weeks old…he was one of the chubbiest, most handsome baby boys I have ever met! Oh, and he slept, and slept…and slept some more.

Sorry we didn’t get any ‘awake’ shots…it’s not normally a problem!

Meet tiny Xavier. A perfect baby…cute as a button and adored by his gorgeous parents Sharon and Neil.

You would never know that 4 months ago he entered the world 15 weeks too early. I can only imagine the battles his tiny body has fought.. and won. Now he is home, safe and sound…and I was given the honor of photographing him….and it was a real honor. I can’t tell you how many times I gazed at this perfect baby, and truly believed in miracles. Being a perfectly normal baby Xavier decided that photo time was time to play. For well over two hours he was fed and cuddled, sang to and rocked…even Elvis couldn’t send him to sleep. I enjoyed a cuppa and party pies (excellent!)…and eventually (after a little calisthenics routine and song) he fell into a lovely deep sleep!

Sharon and Neil…it was just lovely to meet you both, and your precious little man. I’m so glad we held out for the sleepy shots!

Sweet baby Lucas – Melbourne newborn photography

No matter how often I photograph newborn babies…I am always amazed at how tiny they are. Little fingers and toes, tiny arms and legs…perfect little faces.

Sweet baby Lucas was already 3 and a half weeks old when we met. Mel and Charlie were hoping to get some shots with his eyes open…well no problems there…he was gazing around the room for most of my visit, wondering about his new wonderful world no doubt. So it took a bit of perseverence to get this little guy to sleep.

Sweet baby Jessica – 8 days new

21 months ago I photographed the sweetest baby girl. One of my first clients in fact. Baby Jacqueline was an angel then…and her tiny sister Jessica was no different. Some babies are just so easy – they sleep, hardly cry at all(for me anyway) and let me move them around several times without any fuss at all. She didn’t even wee on any of my props…now that’s AMAZING! So baby Jessica was a dream to photograph…and isn’t she just adorable. Big sister Jacqueline, at 21 months was not so easy…as is normal for her age. We did try to get some shots of these sisters together…and I’m happy to say we did pretty well.

Jim and Enza are the most loving, caring parents…they just adore their precious girls.

Thanks so much guys, for once again inviting me to capture some memories for you.

Baby Sienna…13 days new. Melbourne newborn photography

I am always excited when receive the message…’Our baby has been born’!

For the past few weeks I have been waiting for the arrival of four babies…and beautiful baby Sienna was first. I photographed her lovely Mummy a few weeks ago…you might remember her from here. It is extra special when I have met the expectant Mum before she has her baby.

To be welcomed into the lives of families expecting a new child…it’s a real honour.

Baby Sienna was divine. Peachy skin, her eyes full of wonder…such a miracle isn’t it? New life.

Thanks Chris, for rushing home to be in some of the shots. I hope Sienna had a long sleep after I left?

Newborn heaven…baby Maya

I first met gorgeous Jamie just a few weeks ago…pregnant with her first baby.

Yesterday I was greeted with a glowing new Mum, doting new Dad (and coffee – thanks!)…and the sweetest baby girl.

Well here she is….sweet baby Maya. A little overdue but worth the wait…isn’t she just beautiful??

Jamie and Dave…it was an absolute pleasure to meet your beautiful baby girl…and wonderful to capture her ‘newness’.
