I first met this beautiful family a couple of years ago when I photographed their first gorgeous little boy, Christian. Now Nicole and Wayne have another spunky little man..meet 11 month old Oliver. Meet the Carmichaels…Melbourne family photos

The Carmichael family are good friends of ours…in fact they are like family to us. I first met Di a bit over 5 years ago…when both our lives were just a little chaotic. I had three little boys and had just moved into our new house…she lived just down the road and had four kids (I used to shake my head in wonder) including twin boys who were babies then. Over the years we have shared a lot…more good times than I can even remember, plenty of laughter and just a few tears. I was thrilled when Matt and Di decided it was time for me to photograph their family…and even though four children would normally send me packing, we had a great afternoon. So here they are: Declan, Tess, Lochie and Angus…I hope you enjoyed your session! Here’s a little preview for you

I do have the loveliest job…especially when I get to see one of my beautiful newborn clients 5 months later! I met beautiful baby Milana (oh, that name!) early this year, and was invited to photograph her again with her big sister Gabby. Their home is a restored two story bluestone barn…complete with an antique asian door built into the fence – what a perfect photography studio!!

I was speaking to a client recently, who was booking in for her next photo session. She mentioned how important the photographs were to her…and how quickly her two girls were changing, and how she sometimes wished she could pause time and stop them growing up so fast. It hit me all of a sudden that I hadn’t properly photographed my boys in quite a while (well a long time for me anyway). So, here they are…
