Earlier this week I met the most gorgeous little boys, Mason and Marcus. The last few sessions before Christmas are often squeezed in between all the other stuff going on in this busy time of year. So what better way to enjoy the morning than to stroll through the parklands, searching for the elusive fox and watching the butterflies dance. I first met this gorgeous family over 2 years ago…when Jasmin was a bright two year old and tiny Taj was born. Now gorgeous Jas is a big 4 year old, Taj is a crazy 2 year old, and they have an adorable baby brother…named Nash. Watching Kristy and David with their three children reminded me a lot of when my boys were so little…and what an exhausting and wonderful time it was. Enjoy your preview:

Meet the Carmichaels…Melbourne family photos

The Carmichael family are good friends of ours…in fact they are like family to us. I first met Di a bit over 5 years ago…when both our lives were just a little chaotic. I had three little boys and had just moved into our new house…she lived just down the road and had four kids (I used to shake my head in wonder) including twin boys who were babies then. Over the years we have shared a lot…more good times than I can even remember, plenty of laughter and just a few tears. I was thrilled when Matt and Di decided it was time for me to photograph their family…and even though four children would normally send me packing, we had a great afternoon. I was speaking to a client recently, who was booking in for her next photo session. She mentioned how important the photographs were to her…and how quickly her two girls were changing, and how she sometimes wished she could pause time and stop them growing up so fast. It hit me all of a sudden that I hadn’t properly photographed my boys in quite a while (well a long time for me anyway). So, here they are…
