Earlier this week I met the most gorgeous little boys, Mason and Marcus. The last few sessions before Christmas are often squeezed in between all the other stuff going on in this busy time of year. So what better way to enjoy the morning than to stroll through the parklands, searching for the elusive fox and watching the butterflies dance. We even had the thrill of a very kind tractor driver who stopped for little Mason to have a ride! Penny and Vince, it was so lovely to meet your family. Enjoy your preview:

I first met this gorgeous family over 2 years ago…when Jasmin was a bright two year old and tiny Taj was born. Now gorgeous Jas is a big 4 year old, Taj is a crazy 2 year old, and they have an adorable baby brother…named Nash. Watching Kristy and David with their three children reminded me a lot of when my boys were so little…and what an exhausting and wonderful time it was. Enjoy your preview:

Meet the Carmichaels…Melbourne family photos

The Carmichael family are good friends of ours…in fact they are like family to us. I first met Di a bit over 5 years ago…when both our lives were just a little chaotic. I had three little boys and had just moved into our new house…she lived just down the road and had four kids (I used to shake my head in wonder) including twin boys who were babies then. Over the years we have shared a lot…more good times than I can even remember, plenty of laughter and just a few tears. I was thrilled when Matt and Di decided it was time for me to photograph their family…and even though four children would normally send me packing, we had a great afternoon. So here they are: Declan, Tess, Lochie and Angus…I hope you enjoyed your session! Here’s a little preview for you

I was speaking to a client recently, who was booking in for her next photo session. She mentioned how important the photographs were to her…and how quickly her two girls were changing, and how she sometimes wished she could pause time and stop them growing up so fast. It hit me all of a sudden that I hadn’t properly photographed my boys in quite a while (well a long time for me anyway). So, here they are…

What do you get when you put 5 active little boys aged from 3 weeks to 3 years together??? A few laughs, lots of tears and plenty of bribery! When Nicole arranged to have some family photographs taken with her parents, two sisters…and their children, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but we got there eventually! Newborn baby Kai – Melbourne photographer

Meet teeny tiny Kai…born a couple of weeks early to his beautiful parents Sommer and Adam. Several years ago Sommer travelled to Australia for a holiday and met Adam (even though her Mum asked her NOT to fall in love!)…and now they have a beautiful baby boy. Baby Kai’s Grandma had only just arrived all the way from Canada…apparently he has been born into a family of avid knitters…and it is family tradition for all babies to be photographed in a pair of hand knitted crazy socks! (and wasn’t I just a bit thrilled to receive a pair as well…so I just had to take a pic to show how perfectly they fit!). Sommer and Adam, congratulations on the birth of your beautful boy. He is an absolute angel…

Thanks for the best socks!

I had a great weekend in Brisbane with some of my lovely Melbourne photographer friends, attending a newborn posing workshop. Thanks to Lana from Little Posers for some inspiration and fresh ideas! Thought I would share a couple of faves from the day…
