Some of you might be a little surprised to see a wedding featured on my blog. As you know I’m not really a wedding photographer, it’s a rare and very special indulgence….which I like to keep a little quiet A big thankyou to Fran from Pebbles photography for helping me out on the day.

Kate and Jarrod are simply one of most beautiful couples I have ever met. Not only are they rather gorgeous looking (as you can see!) but they are sweet and in love, and they obviously adore one another. They both have the most wonderful families and friends…who all supported them on this most special day. Anyone who has been in Melbourne recently will know how cold it has been…and I mean bitterly cold, icy winds and constant rain. But none of that matters when you’re getting married…and strangely enough, every time Kate and Jarrod ventured outdoors the rain held off , the sun shone…and the weather was almost perfect!

Ben and Clodagh – the wedding, part 1

It was the perfect wedding.

Perfect weather, perfect location, perfectly planned down to the finest detail…and most importantly…the perfect bride and groom.

Clodagh was simply radiant, not rushed or nervous on her special day…she just shone and glowed with happiness.

Ben was handsome in his dark suit and gorgeous new cufflinks…and just a little nervous. They are both so in love…that’s for sure!

After a quick visit with the boys, I arrived at the stunning ‘Summerfields Estate‘ on the Mornington Penninsula where Clodaugh and her family were preparing for the day.

The ceremony was held in the gorgeous gardens in dazzling afternoon light. I saw many a tear wiped from eyes during the very personal and touching ceremony.

Ben and Codagh – congratulations again. My your lives be filled with the happiness and joy I witnessed between you.

Beach Wedding – Melbourne Wedding photographer

Matt and Connie recently moved to the seaside…so a seaside wedding was planned…

The day was glorious…sunny with a light breeze. The location was sublime, the bride was beautiful, the groom was dashing…and the wedding, perfect in every way:

Catching up…January personal project, photo per day.

What an exciting few days we have had!

One long weekend in gorgeous Portarlington, one wedding to photograph (my first…more of that to come), one photo per day project to keep up with…ONE THOUSAND images to sort through!

So here we are…a catch up. January 14 to 19 2010:

Ben and Clodagh – engaged!

When Clodagh and Ben contacted me a few months ago I was a bit unsure about photographing a wedding. It’s not what I normally do. But I do love weddings…I love the joy, the happiness, the wonder of that one special day. I remember my own wedding (yes, I know…13 years ago now) as one of the happiest days of my life, not just because we were getting married, but because we were surrounded by all the people we love. So I decided that I would actually love to photograph their wedding (and they decided I was the right photographer for the job…a very important decision). Some photo sessions are just brilliant…because I know the photographs are going to be stunning…can’t wait for your big day guys!

Monday night in Melbourne was 42 degrees…boy is that hot. The heat burns your eyes…and zaps your energy….but I think we did pretty well….(and were rather pleased with the open bar when we were finished!)

So here they are…the deliriously happy couple, Ben and Clodagh…thanks guys, I had a fabulous time with you both!
